SANĀTANA

DHĀRMA

The authentic name of Hinduism is sanātana dhārma, which means the eternal natural order, the law
perennial, the eternal path.
The word sanātana means eternal, perennial, primordial.

Dhārma (from the Sanskrit root “dhr”, to support, to sustain) means law, duty, righteousness, merit or code of conduct.

Dharma is that which sustains the universe.

Being aware of dhārma in our lives and living accordingly leads us to the highest good, liberation or mokṣā.

Sanātana dhārma is the world view, the oldest living spiritual tradition on earth. Its essence has been maintained to this day, welcoming at all times the authentic aspiration of the Being to recognize its transcendent truth.

At the very root of Hinduism there is the deep recognition of the sacredness of every form, every name, action and Being; the sacredness of the universe, the earth, the nature and above all the sacredness of our own essence.

“The world is a harmonious dance, there is a cosmic order in which everything happens in the moment and the right place.

I am part of the whole and everything is part of me.”

Svāmī Satyānanda Sarasvati
